Police Nab Foster Father For ‘Raping’ Daughter

ROBERTSPORT, July1 (LINA) -Police in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County have arrested a foster father for allegedly raping his step daughter.

According to the Liberia News Agency correspondent in the county, the incident allegedly occurred on June 26 in the Kru Community in Robertsport.

Police charge sheet said on Thursday, June 26, at about 11:00 p.m. the step father, Prince Jolorple, 47, called his 15-year-old step daughter (name withheld) in his room to go to buy cigarettes.

The charge sheet further said upon arrival in the room, defendant Jolorple jumped on the girl and allegedly had sexual intercourse with her.

The girl told police that in the process, her step father tied her mouth with a blue towel so that she could not to raise alarm.

The charge sheet further indicated that her step father threatened to harm her if she revealed the act.

According to the charge sheet, the defendant commanded the little girl to immediately wash the clothes that she was wearing after the incident.

Jolorple, however, denied the allegation during preliminary hearing of the case at the Robertsport Magisterial Court on Monday, June 30.
