MONROVIA, Dec 6 (LINA) - A juvenile inmate imprisoned at the Monrovia Central Prison for a protracted period was set free Friday by the Criminal Court “A” at the Temple of Justice here.
The inmate identified as Frederick George, was placed in the cell by the Monrovia City Court on the charge of ‘criminal attempt to commit murder’.
Giving the ruling, Criminal Court ‘A’ Judge Korboi Nuta said prior to the hearing of the case involving Frederick George, the prosecution asked the court to declare the case ‘nolle prosequoi’ in favor of defendant George.
He said if the prosecution files the request to the court, the Judge could not deny such a request under the law.
Judge Nuta has, meanwhile, ordered the Clerk of the Court to write the Superintendent of the Monrovia Central Prison to release the accused, Frederick George with immediate effect.
