Murderer, 19, Gets 35 Years In Prison

KAKATA, June 23 (LINA) - The Judge of the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Kakata, Margibi County has sentenced 19-year-old Isaac Dolo to 35 years in prison for the murder of one Moses Kolleh, Jr.
Judge Mardea Tarr- Chenoweth pronounced the sentence Friday following a unanimous guilty verdict by the empanelled jury, coupled with evidence adduced in court during the trial.
According to Judge Tarr-Chenoweth, the sentence was in keeping with Chapter 14, Section 14.1 of the new Penal Laws of Liberia.
On April 6, 2014, convict Dolo stabbed and killed victim Kolleh instantly following a tussle at a local entertainment center in Kakata.
Dolo, a 9th Grade student of the Lango Lippay High School got into an argument with Kolleh at a local entertainment center which resulted into a fist fight between them.
Kolleh tried to flee the scene but convict Dolo ran after him and stabbed him with a knife in the back.
The deceased was a graduating senior of the Booker Washington Institute (BWI) in Kakata.
