Region 2 Post Master Outlines Constraints

By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Cape Mount County Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, June 19 (LINA) -The Post Master for Region Two in Western Liberia, Edwin B. Zoludua, has outlined several constraints impeding the effective operations of the regional office.

Mr. Zoludua said at present, there is no residential building and office space for staff of the regional office.

He said as a result, they are finding it difficult to perform in line with their statutory mandate.

Mr. Zoludua also cited lack of utility vehicles to transport mails and other documents from one district to the other to enhance postal activities in the area.

The Regional Postmaster made the statement recently in an exclusive interview with the Liberia News Agency Grand Cape Mount County correspondent.

He said the failure to adequately address these constraints could seriously undermine the mail delivery system in the region.

Mr. Zoludua said despite these hardships, they are conducting series of mail delivery awareness campaigns in schools and communities.

He said it was also regrettable to note that some of the rural postal service employees are yet to be placed on government payroll.
