WAAPP Distributes Seed Rice To Grand Gedeh Farmers

ZWEDRU CITY, June 12 (LINA) - The West African Agriculture Productivity Project (WAAPP) has begun distributing seed rice to farmers in three districts in Grand Gedeh County to plant following preparation of plots in low land.

Acting Agriculture Coordinator Emmanuel Carr made the disclosure at a recent Economic Transformation Pillar Meeting of the Agenda for Transformation (AfT) at the local Agriculture office in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County.

He described the seeds as improved varieties for high yields to enable farmers who are ready for planting do so now.

He named Beezon, Tofoi , Gwien, Pouh, Gaye and Pola Towns in Grand Gedeh County as beneficiaries of the recent distribution with more to follow as soon as additional seeds are ready.
