ByKorboiGbelewala

VOINJAMA, Nov. 7(LINA) -Eight major towns in Voinjama District, Lofa County have begun a weeklong clean-up campaign in their townships.

The towns are ZogolemaiLitusu, Zangota, Balakpalasu, Duogomai, John Town, Lofada and Goila.

Zogolemai Township Commissioner Peter Paywala told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) Thursday that the exercise is intended to give these areas a face-lift  andto buttress government’s development effort.

Paywala disclosed that citizens of the townships have agreed to provide food for the youths taking part in the clean-up exercise.

He lauded the citizens for the level of cooperation exhibited thus far, but noted that more is needed to be done to achieve the development agenda of the areas.

Commissioner Paywalahas therefore called on citizens of the area residing abroad to return home and join the reconstruction process of their respective towns and villages.
