Kakata Fish Sellers Stage Peaceful Protest
By Richard Baysah, LINA Margibi Correspondent

KAKATA, May 28 (LINA) - Fish sellers at the Kakata General Market on Tuesday staged a peaceful demonstration in Kakata City.

The fish vendors are demanding immediate relocation to the area within the Kakata General Market from where they were ousted upon orders of the Superintendent of the Liberia Marketing Association Margibi branch, Mr. Daniel Benson.

The spokesperson of the fish sellers, Kebbeh Sirleaf, told the Liberia News Agency that they staged the peaceful demonstration against the “bad leadership” of Mr. Benson.

However, the swift intervention of the County Inspector of Margibi County, Tarr Sackie, restored a semblance of calm.

Attempts by the LINA correspondent to get Mr. Daniel Benson’s side via
mobile phone proved futile, as his phone was switched off.
