The items, which include 20 bundles of zinc and several packs of nails, were presented Monday on the grounds of the Voinjama Central Market.

Making the presentation, the Coordinator of the Friends of Kabbah, Augustus Dorbor, did not say the cost of the materials, but said they were Mr. Kabbah’s way of identifying with the disaster victims.

According to the Liberia News Agency, Mr. Dorbor pledged  Kabbah’s commitment to improving the livelihood of his people, and assured that Mr. Kabbah will do more for the people of Lofa County.

Receiving the materials on behalf of the Voinjama City Mayor, Mohammed Sheriff thanked Mr. Kabbah for the materials, and promised that they would be donated to victims of the rainstorm.

It can be recalled that in the afternoon of Tuesday, May 13, 2014, a heavy rainstorm hit Voinjama, destroying more than 290 houses.
