Senator Lasanna Hails Radio Bomi
By David Seedee, LINA Bomi Count y Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, May 12 (LINA) - Bomi County Senator Lahai Lasanna has said the credible, accurate and balanced information being disseminated by Radio Bomi  to the people of the Western Region remains crucial to peace, stability and development.

Senator Lasanna said he was very pleased with the performance of the radio station and the manner in which it broadcasts information to the public.

Senator Lasanna made the commendation recently in Tubmanburg at the Christ Lutheran Church during the launch of the "One Gallon Campaign" initiative organized by the Management of Radio Bomi.

The initiative is intended to generate support for the station on air.

He said owing to the role the station continues to play in the community, it was time that the people of the Western Region took ownership of the station by supporting its objectives.

Lasanna said the media provides the platform for citizens to discuss issues of concern to better their society, so then the citizens themselves must assume the responsibility to ensure the platform is always available by supporting the media.

He said the efficiency and effectiveness of the station should be the concern of citizens of the region, and urged them to support it fully.

He said given the nature of the economic environment in which the radio station operates, its viability should claim the attention of the communities it serves.
