Rep. Anderson Warns Nimba Youth Against Violence

By Robert Dixon

MONROVIA, May 5 (LINA) - Montserrado County Representative , Richmond Anderson, has warned Nimba youths against violence, noting that it is not the best way to resolve issues.

He also told the youths to not allow themselves be influenced by others to engage in unlawful acts.

Speaking late Sunday evening, when he served as chief launcher of the Liberia Chapter of the Nimba Youth Caucus on the Campus of the Paynesville Community School, Rep. Anderson admonished the youths to remain focused and steadfast in uniting for the growth and development of their county.

He also told them not allow anyone, especially politicians, to distract them from their vision, which is to unite all Nimba County youths under one umbrella.

According to him, politicians always use young people to negatively castigate their opponents to weaken and overcome them politically, something he warned the Nimba Youth Caucus to guide against.

Also speaking at the program, the Coordinator of the Nimba County Youth Liberia Chapter, Mr. Alvin D. Kpahn, said they formed the movement to show that Nimba deserves the best in every child and that every child in the county is entitled to decent education.

He said the Caucus will endeavor to build the human resource capacity of Nimba County, especially the youth, noting that the caucus has started providing scholarships to students of the county.
