Margibi Superintendent Summons ‘Illegal’ Firms
By Richard Baysah, LINA Margibi County Correspondent

KAKATA, May 1 (LINA)  - Margibi County Superintendent John Buway  has ordered the Acting County Attorney,  Isaac Liverpool George, to summon all companies operating in the county without the knowledge  of the county administration.

According to the Liberia News Agency, this was disclosed on Wednesday
by the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, Mr. Clarence B. Woodson at the monthly County Development Steering Committee (CDSC) meeting at the Kakata City Hall.

Woodson said there are over 10 companies engaged in various activities in the county without the knowledge of the office of the Superintendent.

He stated that the Superintendent’s office wrote these firms for a conference, but only three turned out, while the rest stayed away for unexplained reasons.

Due to the situation, Woodson said Superintendent Buway was obliged to get the County Attorney involved to legally handle the matter, as citizens of Margibi County have been seeking explanation about the activities of these companies.

Woodson did not give the names of the companies or the kinds of business they are engaged in.
