NEC Deploys 136 Workers In Cape Mount

By D. Ignatius Roberts, LINA Cape Mount Correspondent

ROBERTSPORT, April 27 (LINA) -The Registrar of the National Elections Commission (NEC) Grand Cape Mount County sub-office, David Armah, has said 136 Voter Roll Exhibition workers have been trained and deployed at 67 centers in the county.

Speaking ahead of the deployment, he admonished the workers to utilize the training they acquired during the workshop for the betterment of the state and its people.

Armah told the Liberia News Agency at the end of the workshop in Tienii, Tewor District, that the exercise was intended to correct errors, if any, made during the voter roll update earlier this year.

He urged those who will be visiting the various centers to cooperate with NEC workers to ensure that the process proceeds smoothly in the interest of all.

Armah said many of the young people in the various districts were recruited, trained and deployed as a means of empowering them financially.

He said that the process will start on Monday, April 28, and end on Friday, May 2.
