Bomi Credit Union Building Nears Completion
By David Seedee, LINA Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, April 25 (LINA) - Construction work on a credit union building for Region One in Tubmanburg, Bomi County is expected to be completed next month.

Region One comprises Grand Cape Mount, Gbarpolu and Bomi Counties.

Construction cost is put at US$42,000, and is provided by the governments of the United States and Great Britain, according to Mr. Patrick Bropleh, engineer of the contractor firm.

Bropleh told the Liberia News Agency Thursday that construction began in early January and is about 90 percent complete, noting that the structure would be ready for turnover in May.

Bropleh said the credit union will lend money to organizations, businesses and stakeholders as well as engage in transferring and receiving money for the people of Region One, to save them the trouble of travelling to Monrovia to do banking business.

Mr. Bropleh disclosed that similar construction works are underway in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County and Ganta, Nimba County.
