Wesseh Finally Accepts Petition To Contest Senatorial Race
By Robert Dixon

MONROVIA, April 19(LINA) - The Minister of State without Portfolio, Commany B. Wesseh, has finally accepted petitions from citizens of River Gee County to contest the mid-term senatorial election slated for October this year.

Wesseh was first petitioned on March 4, 2014 by “Progressive Friends of Wesseh”, a local group in River Gee County, at his residence in Paynesville City during a ceremony marking his return from a medical trip in the United States of America.

At that ceremony, he neither accepted nor rejected the petition.

But when a group of journalists hailing from River Gee paid him a courtesy call on Friday at his residence, Wesseh made his intention known and thanked God for a successful medical trip.

He told the group of journalist that he was contesting the River Gee senatorial mid-term election in response to many calls and appeals from citizens of the county.

Wesseh, who has unsuccessfully contested the River Gee County senatorial seat twice on the ticket of the governing Unity Party (UP), expressed confidence that this time around he would win the seat, based on the willingness of River Gee citizens to campaign for him vigorously.

He disclosed that he was contesting the polls on the ticket of the governing Unity Party.

Meanwhile, he has admonished citizens of the county to remain united and warned them against acts that have the propensity to cause confusion in the county.

Wesseh cautioned that the county will not attain its development objectives in the midst of confusion and misunderstanding..
