New Nimba Police Chief Inducted
By Wellington Patrick, LINA Nimba County Correspondent

SANNIQUELLIE, April 16 (LINA) -The newly-appointed Police Commander of Nimba County, Morris Tokpah Teamah, has been inducted into office to oversee police operations in the county.

The Regional Commander of the Liberia National Police for Region 3, Walter B. Wray, performed the ceremony Tuesday at the Sanniquellie Police Depot in the presence of civil society organizations and representatives of the Nimba County administration.

In remarks, Commander Teamah pledged to work with citizens and local authorities of the county to ensure peace and security in the area.

He said his new assignment will afford him the opportunity to coordinate police activities in Nimba.

Earlier, Regional Commander Wray said Teamah’s assignment was a direct result of the recent LNP administrative reshuffle that relieved, reassigned and suspended LNP officers in the region.

He said Commander Teto Lollin, who served the LNP Nimba detachment for over five years, has been reassigned to Lofa County, but could not attend the turning over ceremony because he is currently in Ghana on training.
