Date Uploaded: Dec 11, 2013

MONROVIA, Dec 10 (LINA) -The Liberia National Police (LNP) has launched “Operation Parameter” to minimize the crime rate during the Christmas and New Year festivities.

Police spokesman Sam Collins explained that under the operation ghettoes and other criminal hide-outs will be raided and vigilantly monitored to ensure that residents enjoy peaceful holidays.

He told the Liberia News Agency (LINA) Tuesday it has been observed that criminals torment citizens during the Christmas and New Year celebrations and that the operation is part of plans formulated to curtail this trend.

Collins has, meanwhile, appealed to community dwellers to desist from harboring criminals, and to fully cooperate with security personnel to reduce crime during this festive season.
