Nigeria Commits To Deepening Ties With Liberia

MONROVIA, Dec 10 (LINA) – Nigerian Ambassador to Liberia, Mrs. Chigozie Obi-Nnadozie has reiterated her government’s commitment to further deepening the cordial ties subsisting between Nigeria and Liberia.

She called on citizens of both countries to go beyond friendship and see themselves as “brothers and sisters.”

Ambassador Obi-Nnadozie made the statement Tuesday when she paid a courtesy call on Information Minister Lewis Brown at his Capitol Hill office.

The Nigerian Envoy said “it is about time the people of both countries enjoy the bilateral ties they have endeavored to build” over the years.

In remarks, Information Minister Lewis Brown thanked Ambassador Obi- Nnadozie for the visit which he termed as “very timely”.

Minister Browne pledged Liberia’s commitment to maintaining the friendship that has existed between the two countries for decades.

“It is part of our job to work on deepening not only government- to- government relations but also people- to- people relations,” Minister Brown said.
